Savage Nation Features Dr. Drew's Observations of Young President Obama's Marxist Ideology

I'm becoming a fan of Michael Savage. I found a new YouTube video that plays Savage discussing my comments on the Marxist ideology of the young President Obama. These comments were recorded earlier when I was a guest on the Steve Malzberg talk radio show in New York City and Washington, D.C.

Savage has a very fine mind and he appears to be completely up-to-speed on the radical political theory that was a strong part of my educational experience at both Occidental College and Cornell University.

Charismatic Flashback: Dr. Drew Diagnosizes Young Obama's Brand of Marxism

As you may know, I got hit with my 15 minutes of fame last week. The comments I've been making regarding young Barack Obama's commitment to Marxist socialist thought have finally leaked into the larger sphere of general knowledge. Below, I've added a YouTube video series of my comments as a guest on Breitbart TV's show, The B-Cast.

It has been a lot harder to get this story into the mainstream media than I thought. I'm guessing that my ties to Obama were so fragile and his sophomore era Marxism so innocent that the media didn't think it was worth investigating. Now, however, Obama's record speaks for itself and people are anxious to know whether or not he will tack to the center the way Bill Clinton did. My prediction is that he won't. As a devote of socialism, I think Obama's conscience will not allow him to give up his destructive idea of redistributing the wealth.

Young Obama as a Charismatic Marxist Socialist: Augustine 25 Appears on Breitbart TV's "The B-Cast" Show

I was recently interviewed by the folks at Breitbart TV's "The B-Cast" on the topic of young Barack Obama's commitment to Marxist ideology.

Today, I found the embed code for the first part of that interview so you can see it yourself and - I expect - install it on your own blog site for your own readers and viewers. I'm trying to get this story into the mainstream media. My best idea, for now, is to ask for your assistance in alerting print, radio and television reporters/pundits to my story.

In retrospect, I wish I had been more concise. I'm not ready for prime time. My dream is someone will edit this down to a 2-3 minute piece - legally - that can be easily retransmitted on the Internet. Nevertheless, I'm grateful I got an opportunity to share what I know about the "red diaper" ideology of young Barack Obama.

Going Viral: A Political Scientist Experiences the Power of You Tube

As you may know, my fifteen minutes of fame kicked in this week. Award-winning journalist, Ronald Kessler ran a story in Newsmax about me and my observations of the young Barack Obama's radical socialist perspective during his days at Occidental College in Los Angeles. One of the interesting things about this experience has been tracking how the information leaked out and which, if any, channels of communication worked the best.

One of my biggest surprises was the role that YouTube played in getting this message out. Ironically, the biggest impact - so far - has been the interview I did with Breitbart TV's "The B-Cast."

What is most curious to me, however, is that I came to the attention of the B-Cast staff through contacts who knew me from You Tube. Part of the problem is that I never got many hits on the You Tube videos I did in the past, so I assumed that it wasn't a well-regarded channel of information, at least for conservatives. I'm rethinking that assumption right now. At any rate, please subscribe to my You Tube channel. Now that I know people are looking at it, I'll take it more seriously and use it as a tool for getting around the mainstream media.

Face-to-Face with Young Marxist Obama: John Drew Remembers His Days as an Anti-Apartheid Activist

I was going through some old photos and found this picture of a much younger John Drew graduating from Occidental College back on June 9, 1979. As you can see, I'm wearing a red arm band. I was doing this to protest Occidental College's investments in South Africa. The fellow handing me my diploma was Occidental College president Richard C. Gilman. As I've written before, I was one of the founders of the anti-apartheid group that President Obama mentions in his book, Dreams of My Father.

From what Obama writes, I guess I had the unusual opportunity to meet the young Barack Obama at a turning point in his life. In Dreams of My Father, Obama writes he got one of the early signs of his interest (and ability) in public speaking during his participation in an anti-apartheid rally at Occidental College in Los Angeles in the spring of 1981.

I met him for the first time in late December 1980. By then, I was in my second year of graduate school at Cornell. I was visiting a girlfriend who was still attending Occidental College who introduced me to him and his friend Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, a wealthy Pakistani student.

John Drew graduates from
Occidental College as a fully
trained Marxist in June, 1979.
My most vivid memory of my time visiting with Obama was the way he strongly argued a rather simple-minded version of Marxist theory. I remember he was passionate about his point of view. As I remember, he was articulating the same Marxist theory taught by various professors at Occidental College. Based on my more detailed studies at Cornell, I remember I made a strong argument that his Marxist ideas were not in line with contemporary reality - particularly the practical experience of Western Europe.

I went on to become an assistant professor of political science at Williams College in MA, and won the William Anderson Award from the American Political Science Association for my doctoral dissertation. See,

Obama, of course, became President of the United States in 2009. I cannot help but wonder if my common sense arguments ended up impacting his decision-making and career planning.

Nevertheless, I think my experience with the young Barack Obama is useful evidence of why he was able to win the trust and support of Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and Alice Palmer. In 1995, as you may know, Alice Palmer represented the state of Illinois' 13th District. After she decided to run for the United States Congress she named Obama as her hand-picked successor to replace her. In June 1986, Palmer wrote an article for the Communist Party USA's newspaper, the People's Daily World, now the People's Weekly World. Amazingly, it detailed her experience at the 27th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Regarding Rev. Wright's affection for Marxism and socialism, please view the YouTube video below:

My gut feeling is that Obama won the trust of folks like Palmer because he never surrendered that tough, Marxist socialist ideology I saw in him as a sophomore at Occidental College. All in all, it takes me back to remember my days as a young revolutionary, the moments when - like Barack Obama - I sincerely believed a Marxist socialist revolution was coming to turn everything around and to create a new, fairer and more just world.
